KHVT is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the construction of free public skateboard parks in the St. Louis, Mo. area, and to promoting skateboarding as a fun, healthy activity for both youths and adults.

KHVT was founded in support of the Kinghighway D.I.Y. skatespot, built between 2009 and 2015 by local skateboarders under the South Kinghshighway viaduct. When "the bridge" was demolished in July 2015, St. Louis was left with no free public skateparks. Since then, KHVT has built one new park, the Peter Mathews Memorial Skate Garden, and is working to create even more. Donations of time, labor, materials and money are welcome!

We recently received this Letter of Support from the Director of the St. Louis
Department of Streets Todd Waelterman. Since he is in charge of all the streets in the entire city, he is involved in almost all aspects of city planning and with all the City officials including the Mayor. The fact that he stands with us in the quest for more free public skate opportunity's in the City is a milestone and will definitely help our cause! They are starting to listen to us and we are constantly scheduling more meetings to plead our case. The political process is long and drawn out but we at KHVT vow to see it through till the shredding end!!! KHVT would like to send out a THANK YOU to Mr. Waelterman and his assistant Mary Dusold.
