KHVT is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the construction of free public skateboard parks in the St. Louis, Mo. area, and to promoting skateboarding as a fun, healthy activity for both youths and adults.
KHVT was founded in support of the Kinghighway D.I.Y. skatespot, built between 2009 and 2015 by local skateboarders under the South Kinghshighway viaduct. When "the bridge" was demolished in July 2015, St. Louis was left with no free public skateparks. Since then, KHVT has built one new park, the Peter Mathews Memorial Skate Garden, and is working to create even more. Donations of time, labor, materials and money are welcome!

KHVT Picture Day - August 29th
The KHVT will be featured in Born Ugly (Issue #8) if we can get them some content to work with in time. So, this is where we need your help.
EVERYONE: Show up this Sunday afternoon (August 29th) and rip it up! We will be down there taking what photos we can, but we also encourage all local photographers and skaters to come on out, skate, take photos, be merry and help us show how great the St Louis DIY scene really is.
PHOTOGRAPHERS: If you have photos from Kingshighway that you would like to contribute to this 8-page article send us your photographs (along with the your name and the name of the skater) to khvtmedia@gmail.com by September 7th. There is still time to get some shots before the deadline so grab your camera and a ripper and get down there and take some photos. This is a free mag so there will be no pay, but it would be a good portfolio builder and will help us raise awareness of Kingshighway.
SKATERS: If you have photos of yourself from Kingshighway, send us your photographs (along with the name of the photographer and your name) to khvtmedia@gmail.com by September 7th.

Unearth the TURF!!!!!!!
The Turf Skate park was a Midwestern skate mecca from the 70's to the early 90's before it was covered due to skateboardings near death then, now some vigilantes just like us are fighting to revive it! Check out there saga at http://www.wiskate.com/ and see what you can do to help out at Save the Turf or the newly formed Milwaukee Skateboard Association pages on Facebook. Lend a hand to our brothers to the north and maybe some day you will have a chance to skate history!
