KHVT is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the construction of free public skateboard parks in the St. Louis, Mo. area, and to promoting skateboarding as a fun, healthy activity for both youths and adults.
KHVT was founded in support of the Kinghighway D.I.Y. skatespot, built between 2009 and 2015 by local skateboarders under the South Kinghshighway viaduct. When "the bridge" was demolished in July 2015, St. Louis was left with no free public skateparks. Since then, KHVT has built one new park, the Peter Mathews Memorial Skate Garden, and is working to create even more. Donations of time, labor, materials and money are welcome!

Mission
First of all this Blog is here to spread the good word about the King's Highway Skatespot... Really you can call it anything you want... If your constantly riding the coat tails of others, and want to continue, but with and slightly negative attitude, and a quinge for the grottiest... Call it "ShitSide" Locals who work there call it "The Bridge" same as in other cities who have these spots. Along with "Under the Bridge" and the "V.T. spot" which means "volleyball team" for the layman. Above all we who have built the skateables under the bridge have the good sense to recognize that this skate park should be respectfully titled "Kingshighway". Sorry if that's too simple for y'all. But really call it getting done cause that's what we are doing. Who cares?!
